Here's a rough recording, my first improvisation. I call it "Harbor At Night" because of the clanging sounds which remind me of harbor buoys in the dark. I got that sound from damping the two high strings and striking the strings bluntly with a metal slide. I recorded this "live" into the looper, then replayed it and ran the output from the looper into my Steinberg UR-22 and into my PC, using Audacity. I didn't do any editing or sound reinforcement on the PC, just trimmed the beginning and end. For the time being, it fits my objective of making a finished piece directly from a live recording. That is, not a studio-produced piece with computer generated or assisted sounds.
